Dropping people off

Hi everyone! My husband and I are thinking about staying at either the Swolphin or the Boardwalk on our next trip in October, but another part of my family will be staying off property, and will have a car. My question is this: If we are with them and they end up dropping us off at our hotel, do they have to pay a fee for parking, even though they are just letting us off? I get that it's different if they are coming in, and I fully expect to pay for parking in that situation, but unsure about if we are just getting left off...And how much is parking at these locations? Thanks so much for all your help!

As long as you are in the car with your KTTW card, you'll be fine. When my friends have dropped me off, they just hold my KTTW card up in the window, and the guard waves us through.

If you are staying at the Swan/Dolphin then parking is $14 for self parking/$18 for valet I believe and they can drive by and drop you off without paying but if you have them come in then they will need to park the car.

At the Boardwalk they can come into the parking lot to drop you off without a problem. Depending on how tight parking is and the time of year they may not be allowed to park in the main parking lot unless they pay for valet parking ($12). They may be told there is no parking or that they have to park at the lot across the street near the Hess station for self parking (free).
