Dropping a day

If I wanted to drop a day from the end of my reservation, does MS cancel the entire reservation and just rebook the days I want, or can they drop one day without canceling the entire thing? I have a reservation for a sold out time frame (next April for the RunDisney event) and I wanted to drop a day but don't want to risk canceling my entire reservation. Thanks...

MS can modify the arrival date and/or departure date to extend (subject to availability) or shorten a reservation without needing to cancel it.

They definitely don't cancel, they just add or subtract the day added or deleted on the existing ressie with the same confirmation number

The other posters are correct, Rpcvpanama. A MS advisor can simply change the date(s) on your rez to drop a day at the front or back of a vacation very easily and your reservation number will remain the same.

I had this question as well. I'll probably need to drop the first day of our upcoming trip in June. I was worried about how this was accomplished. Thanks everyone for the clarification.

It's only problematic if you're dropping a day in the middle. Beginning or end are no problem.
