watched a programme last night on how innovative this comedy series was. I absolutely LOVED it, I'd forgotten just how great it was. Does anyone else remember?
I was working in a newsroom at the time so it was specifically relevant but sooo funny.

I really liked it. Remember how cutting edge it was. Also remember reading somewhere at the time at the scripts still had additions going into them on the day each programme was shot.
 
yes, on this programme last night it explained how they'd have the basic script then add in topical bits an hour before filming, all the times you saw the cast reading from memo boards, newspapers etc they were actually reading fresh lines out!!
They said how the day that Robert Maxwell fell off the boat they had to re write the whole script as it had all been based around him and his dodgy dealings, so of course they had to then write in that he was missing presumed dead :rotfl:
