Drop off Area at Universal/IOA

My husband will be dropping my daughter & I off at Universal/IOA in a few weeks (he has a conference). I assume this is an easy process, but please give me the details.

Also, is there free parking after 5pm? I thought I had read that somewhere.

The drop off area is well marked. It is the same area as the buses go to. Once you are dropped off, you'll go up the escalator and you'll be at the very end of Citywalk.
