I don't drive. You can't get your license until you're 18 in the UK, but you start driver's ed at 17, I believe. I don't think i'll start driver's ed until i'm 20... I'm kinda scared of the thought of driving. Plus, I much enjoy being the passenger more. I'm always reading, playing games, and generally not looking at my surroundings when in the car.

Same as me, I prob wont be 20 til I start learning, I'm 17 now, but cant afford to learn to drive or just get the provisional license, as dont have a job. Lots of my friends have started learning and a few who have passed theory and even a few who have passed their driving test first time and they're still 17!!

I really wish I could drive though!!

I live in NY (long island) and our rules are a little different then upstate NY so here they are
16- Get your permit
17- With driver's ed can have an unrestricted license. Restricted without driver's ed.
18- Don't need any lessons or hours just take the test to get your license.

I'm pretty sure that's all right, but I didn't double check on the DMV site.

But yeah I'm almost 19 and JUST took my road test this past tuesday and PASSED!
