For anyone who "frequently" drives to Florida in March (March break time frame), have you ever had problems with the weather on the drive? Do you allow for extra time on the way there and back just in case (plan to arrive home on Saturday instead of Sunday in case of delays). We have driven a few times but always during the late Spring and summer. :flower:

This will be our first March break drive also. I really haven't thought of allowing time for delays but that is a good point. Hopefully we will have great weather. We are taking the I-75 route just in case. We drove one year between Christmas and New Years and were stopped for about 4 hours near Tennesee because of icy roads.

 Hi I am from Southern Ontario. We go down almost every other year. We head down over a week ahead of March break. This year we are leaving on the 2 or 3, and knowing we have extra spare time incase. We have never had any weather problems. A great trip for the whole family. Our daughters are now 12 and 16, they take enough movies and cds for the whole ride down.
