We are driving to WDW on Friday from the Northeast. :goodvibes We are still debating between the 81/77/26/95 Route and 81/66/17/95 Route. Does anyone know of any construction problems on either routes? What is the best way to Universal/WDW from I-4?

:thanks:

When I drive from NJ/PA area I always take 95 so can't help you with the other roads. Once you get on I4 from 95 you just stay on it and Universal is exit 74 (I think!) there are plenty of signs and depending on where you want to go to in WDW is where you get off there...anywhere from exit 67-64B 64B is Magic Kingdom exit.

Have driven many times from South Jersey and take 95 all the way. It takes about 14 and a half hours of actual driving time as long as there are no accidents or big delays. Then just add in your stops and you get an idea of how long it will take. i have driven straight thru a few times and sometimes I stop in Georgia. I almost always drive straight through on the way home though. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

Nala 24:

We have driven both routes you mentioned and prefer 81-66-17-95. We did 77-26 on our way down and 17-66 going back and shaved a whole hour off of our time. I also hated crossing the mountains on 77-26. Having a truck on your tail while coming down a very narrow, mountainous road with no guard rails was really unnerving to me.

For US/IOA just hop on I-4 and follow the signs. Real easy to get to.
