Driving to WDW and seeing Main Gate

When we drive in, we usually come in the west side from 192 and staying in Kissimmee. This time we are staying at the Poly and I really want to drive in through the Main Gate so my mom can see them.

Google maps and our GPS has me taking 429 to 535 then a bunch of turns on Ficquette, Center, Asian etc to World Drive. Is that going to take us past the Main Gate, or should I do something different?

That sounds like the way in through DTD. If you come in that way, you would have to go past DTD, and if you continue straight past the entrance
to the Studios and the Boardwalk Resort there will be a right exit that will get you on the main entrance road and you will then get to the go through the main entrance.

Take 429 south to 192 then east to World Drive which will take you right through the main gate. Keep to the most right side booth for the resort entrances.
