Driving to Magic Kingdom from Hotel Plaza

First of many questions as my trip is getting nearer. Been looking at the Disney Property road map to see how to get to Magic Kingdom from Courtyard By Marriott. Noticed there is a route by via Buena Vista Drive, Live Oak Lane and Vista Blvd onto World Drive. However you enter World Drive what looks like being past the entrance to the Guest Parking for Magic Kingdom. Is there any way to the Guest Parking from this point or do I have to go via Epcot Blvd onto World Drive and through the MK Main Entrance toll plaza? Thanks

I'm sorry I don't have an answer right now, but I am curious. How do you know the names of the streets? There are so few street signs and every map I have of Orlando just shows a big "space" where WDW is.

from hotel plaza, go toward DTD. Counting the traffic signal at DTD which may very well be Buena Vista Drive go 11 stop lights west (toward AK) you will pass signs that direct you to OKW then past the fire dept on your right and MGM on your left. Once you pass Swan and Dolphin you will turn right just before the twelvth stop light (I think) before you go over World Drive. (Is that the name of the North South Road that leads into MK?) Disney does not use their directions to send you this way as you are going through all the traffic for AK and MGM.

The road map I have shows the names of the roads. It is a Disney roadmap and in colour. Not sure what site I downloaded it from. It shows all the Disney property including Resorts and most of the roads have names.

No the route i am talking about takes you right when you reach Downtown Disney from Hotel Plaza. You then go North on Buena Vista Drive and take a left onto a road called Live Oak Lane (There is a Kinder Care? off this road). You then take a left onto Vista Blvd (You are now North of Dixie Landings and Port Orleans Resorts). You now drive west past the turning for the Bonnet Creek and Eagle Pines Golf courses. Then you will drive past Fort Wilderness entrance and head west till you hit World Drive. This is the route I am talking about.

If you go towards Wilderness Lodge, you will turn left at the stop light towards the Polynesian. Then you go past the Polynesian until the road goes towards the left. Turn left(away from GF) and towards the Car Care Center. There is a location where you can head towards the MK parking lot ( kind of a turn around).

Or you can go down Hotel Plaza Blvd, turn right at the stoplight (by Disney Marketplace) and down to Community Drive. Turn left on Community Drive, and drivepast SSR construction, Tree House Villas and OKW. Just after you pass OKW, there is a stop light. Go straight. (if you turned right at this light, you would go past PO) Then follow the signs to the MK parking lot. Stay towards the left. If you go right, you go right into Epcot.

Jimmybog - The answer to your question is...

No, you cannot access Guest parking from the route you see on the map. The road does exist, but you cannot get to the parking area from there. You will pass through a security checkpoint in front of Ft. Wilderness, then continue down the road and past the TTC and Poly, but you cannot get to the parking lot.

It is best to go past Epcot "via Epcot Blvd onto World Drive and through the MK Main Entrance toll plaza" as you stated.
