Hi, we will be driving to Florida in March, south on i65 and planning supper in Nashville and overnight somewhere south of the beltline, maybe Columbia. Can anyone give recommendations for a family friendly restaurant that's not too complicated/too far off the interstate? Boys are typical mac and cheese and chicken nuggets kids menu types, dh and I would love to find good BBQ, music, or something unique so we don't feel like we ate at a chain. Is there anything downtown and maybe we could get a short sight seeing walk around? Expect it will be 6ish when we arrive, and after dinner the boys will still want to hit the hotel pool. Boys are 4 and 9. Suggestions? TIA!

When we drove to Destin, we stopped in Nashville. We went downtown first and walked around, had dinner at Burger Up, then went back to our hotel in Brentwood. We stayed at the Hyatt Place which was nice enough and very close to 65. The only issue there would be that the pool is outdoors and closed in the winter

Puckett's is another great family restaurant. They have locations in downtown Nashville, Franklin, and Columbia.

If you stop for dinner in downtown Nashville and walk around awhile, you may be later than you think getting to a hotel in Columbia. You can look at hotels in the Brentwood or Franklin area that are near exits to I-65 that would be closer if you want pool time.

Thanks! I had to smile reading their menu they have Mickey pancakes.
