I will be driving from CT going I-95 the whole way leaving on a saturday. I was wondering if anyone knows how many hours it takes to get through each state, driving the speed limit. My plan is to leave in the morning and get to six flags in new jersey when it opens (I think 9 a.m.) to go through the safari. Then get back on the road and drive until dark. Then Sunday keep driving until I get to orlando. I am trying to figure out if I can do the drive in two days. I will be the only driver with ds13 in car and plan to just stop for bathroom breaks and fast food eating.

I am driving this weekend and just got these distances and times from Delorme Street Atlas. Our starting point in NYC so you'll have to add your distances in CT. The first number is miles, the second is a time estimate.
Usually the total driving time is a little less than 20 hours, but traffic or an accident can slow it down.

START 0 0:00
DELAWARE RIVER 118 2:18
BALTIMORE 194 3:41
WASHINGTON DC 223 4:14

SC/GA 801 14:22
GA/FL 913 16:17
END 1126 20:20

Warning....if you drive the speed limit in Atlanta....you will get rear ended :)

We've driven from Northwestern NJ, leaving at night around 10 and driving straight through - with bathroom and food stops, it took us about 17-18 hours. When it's my turn to drive, I am still going a bit over the speed limit and people are FLYING past me! Just watch Maryland - they don't ever give warnings and the fines are steep!!!
