Driving Thanksgiving Day

I will be driving from Ohio to WDW on Thanksgiving Day. Will I have any problems getting gas and food on the road, due to the Thanksgiving holiday? I have never traveled before during the holiday? Thanks.

We did that a couple of years ago and wondered the same thing. No problem at all, we even stopped at a Shoney's and got a great Thanksgiving dinner buffet. I would not wait till empty for gas in more rural areas, and maybe the more remote Mc Donalds might not be open, but otherwise, no problems.

Also, if you do run into problems, look for truck stops. They're certain to be open on Thanskgiving Day.
