Driving solo to W&D

Hey guys,

So I guess I didn't look at the course maps for W&D until today - I knew it was a different route than the regular 1/2s but I figured it would still start and finish in EPCOT .

I am driving to the race by myself - I live about 1.5 hours away and I will be driving back home after the race (to save some money), this is something I have done a bunch of times before and that is not what I am worried about. However, now that I realize that the race starts and finishes in different places I was wondering if any of you guys knew if there would be bus transportation between the two? I am assuming there has to be because not everyone will be taking the resort buses, but I want to make sure I am not stuck at EPCOT at 3 in the morning after running 13 miles with my car at the sports complex!

From what I read, you actually park at EPCOT. They will have a bus running from EPCOT to the Sports Complex. You cannot (or are not supposed to) park at the Sports Complex.

Ah! That makes sense - there was another race like that last fall I think but I can't remember which but I think then they had buses going both ways - OH I remember now it was the race for the taste

So I would have been fine if I hadn't checked the website and just blindly show up at EPCOT like I always do

I just saw the same thing posted on another thread---that there will be EPCOT buses to the start. So I guess if you're not staying at a host resort you could just take the resort bus to Epcot!

According to the Disney rep I spoke to at the DL expo you can park your car at Epcot and get shuttled over to WWoS. She said all the details would be in the race instruction email sent out before the race.
