I did something incredibly stupid today. I was coming home from running errands, and I was pulled over for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Because my driving record is clean, the officer gave me a written warning and told me to be more careful while driving. My question is, will the written warning show up on my licence? My record is clean, and I really hope this won't affect my clean record. (I live in NJ if anyone is familiar with NJ driving laws.)

Argh - I'm just so mad at myself for being so stupid!

Thank you, Dan. :) I only mentioned I'm from NJ because I know laws vary from state to state. Anyone familiar with NJ law?

Bump! Anyone know for sure? I'm really stressing about this. Thanks!

Nobody knows?

a Written warning will be 'on your record' for 24 hours.

Basically- if an officer were to pull you over in those 24 hours- the dispatch would see the written warning just given. After the 24 hours - it wont be

I've gotten my share of written warnings...and this is always the way the officer has explained it to me, either state trooper or local PD, in quite a few states!
