for those that drive I95... we have about a 10 hour trip from eastern NC. we may drive part of the way down and stay somewhere.

where do you stay that is fairly cheap- but clean ;)

and south of the border is too close to home to stay there:lmao:

thanks

We usually stay in GA exit 38 (Brunswick). Disney is about 3.5 - 4 hours from there depending on how you drive! :goodvibes New hotels and restaurants ranging from fast food to sit down dinners near by. Also a mall (but don't get too excited - not all that big!!!) It's a small-ish town so the prices aren't too expensive.

I have stayed there many times myself!!!:thumbsup2 Never had any problems and that was when I was traveling single! Don't laugh, but I only live 10 miles away from South Of the Border!!!:lmao: We will probably try to make it to Jacksonville our first day-we have ADR's for Chef Mickey's the next day at 10:40AM(it was all we could get!:sad2: ) so we don't want but a couple of hours to drive that morning. It's our DS's 3 first trip and he loves Mickey Mouse! We leave in June after school gets out! Good luck and I hope you have a great time!:)

We are only 40 miles inside the NC line (3 1/2 miles from I-95) and will try and find someplace between Jacksonville and Orlando. I would like to be an hour or less away from the WDW gate.

that's not too bad. is that with stopping for dinner too? we would probably get on 95 at the same spot- RMT. so then how much farther to Orlando from Jacksonville?

I would figure no more then two hour to two and a half from Jacksonville to Orlando. MS Streets & Trips has it at 150.3 miles from I295 & I95 on the south side of Jacksonville to WDW.

We drive every year from the Charlotte area and we stop near Brunswick too except we stay on Jekyll Island. The Days Inn there is reasonably priced and pretty clean and it is right on the beach. The island is only about 15 minutes off 95. The kids play at the beach and they have 2 pools. There is also parks, mini golf, a place to rent those 4 seater bikes (can't remember what they are called) and some nice little restaurents.
