Driving from Windsor Hills

What is the best way to get to Disney's Main gate driving from Windsor Hills?
I have heard of a back way in from N OLD LAKE WILSON RD / CR-545 N, perhaps there are other gates above Animal Kingdom.

What time does driving from this resort into, say Epcot, add to your day? versus being onsite. We will arrive on a Sunday midday, so I'm more concerned with Monday thru Friday in the first week of May.

If you drove from Windsor Hills (paying to park) would it take you 20, 25, 30, 45+ minutes from door to "parking lot tram" (or admission gate)

I'm interested in the answer to this too I thought that the shortcut was something about Sherberth (?) Rd. I also remember reading that people got from their condos to the gates within 20 minutes or so ... hope thats true!

The thing with the secret shortcut is that it is not so secret anymore - a time saver for Animal Kingdom, otherwise make a right onto the 192 and onto World Drive will take you around 5 minutes to the main gate.

Does a map exist with roads and disney attractions and gates and parking labeled?

Since disney does not have real maps with roads on it, and mapquest does not have road maps with disney locales on it (unless you pick one at a time)

I plugged in routes that end at Animal Kingdom and it looks like this

turn right onto Teascone Blvd 0.3 mi
Turn left onto CR-545 / N Old Lake Wilson Rd 0.6 mi
Turn left onto N Old Lake Wilson Rd 0.3 mi
Turn left onto US-192 West / W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy / W Space Coast Pkwy West / W Vine St 0.1 mi
Turn right onto Sherberth Rd 1.4 mi
Turn right onto Osceola Pkwy 0.6 mi

4.9 mi, 21 min shortest distance
8.4 mi, 18 min shortest time

Yes - just take 192 and follow the signs. It really will only take you 5-10 minutes. The shortcut can be used for Animal Kingdom, but really it only saves a few minutes.

From Windsor Hills you don't have to hit 192 except to go through it.
From WH turn LEFT onto Old Lake Wilson
Make the left onto Morgan-Williams
Turn LEFT onto Funie Steed
Turn RIGHT onto Entry Point
GO THROUGH THE LIGHT
at the next light you are on property. Turn RIGHT

Here's another "shortcut map" I drew up....

This is the "back door" route everyone talks about! I think it's quickest to get to Animal Kingdom, now I think it's a bit faster to take 192 east to World Drive North to EP, MGM, and MK (unless there's tons of traffic of course).
