driving from tampa airport

Please help, before I book our Feb 06 trip I need to know the approximate travel time by car from tampa to wdw. The rates for flying into tampa from NY are cheaper & it would save $$. Is there still construction on I80. Is that the only way to go? Thanks.

It's about an hour and fifteen minutes driving from Tampa airport to WDW. If you take I-80, its going to take a lot longer than that! (I know you meant I-4, just kidding!). Yes, there is still construction on I-4 and it really is the only way to go between the two. There may be other routes that someone local can give.

You might be able to take some of the back roads but it will take you alot longer than 1:15. There is alot of construction on I4 but traffic is generally moving all the time.
