I will be at WDW Aug 17-23, staying off-site in Kissimmee at the Clarion Suites World Resort, which is (reportedly) 4 Miles east of World Dr. How early should we leave in the morning to drive to MK? Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!

:) :) :) :) Thanks, gwanner

We usually go in December and stay 2-3 miles west of World Drive (just off 192) and we usually allow an hour to get to MK. This includes driving to the parking booth (pay for parking), go park the car, get the tram, get the ferry, and now (because of Sept 11th) go through the extra security.

Sooo, if the park opens at 9am, leave around 8am.

The other parks are closer and easier to park so you may only need 30 minutes for those.

Thanks so much for the help Emmagata. I haven't stayed off-site before, so I am getting nervous as the time gets closer(21 days)

Thanks again!!!

We stayed offsite during Easter of 2000. The day we went to MK, I had booked an early character breakfast at Grand Floridian. Well, it must have saved us a couple hours in aggravation, because we completely bypassed the TTC. After our breakfast, we just got on the resort monorail to the park. We were standing at the gates to the park when the first boat/monorail arrived from the TTC. I did not realize that they "hold" you at the TTC.
