I was hoping someone could give me some good advice as far as the best route to take from Orange County New York to WDW during Easter vacation. I am afraid that traffic will be horrible. Our plan is to leave at about 2:00 am on Saturday, March 31st and drive to Brunswick, Georgia. I also considered stopping in Savannah, Georgia because I would love to see it but I am not sure how far off of 95 you would have to go to get to Savannah. Is Savannah very far out of the way? Any advice on the fastest route taking into consideration the potential traffic? Thanks for any suggestions.

My husband and I always take 95 ( I think its the best way to go and the only way to go- lol) there and we stop at the beginning of Georgia - each time different exits...
Some times it could even be S. C. at the end...

I love driving there...
But this time and the last time he is making me fly- ugh- but we went down about 6 years ago during Easter and it wasn't too bad...

Coming back was though as soon as we hit the NJ turnpike...

But good luck and have fun :goodvibes

We are also driving down for Easter (Leaving April 5 EARLY AM) from Long Island.

We've driven before and stopped in Savannah just of 95. We stayed at a Country Inn & Suites. We just booked the same hotel for our Easter trip for the drive down. Its about 13-14 hours in the car from NY to Savannah depending on how much you stop.
