I've been working on a scavenger hunt/clues for our drive and thought I would share what I have so far. I'm working on designing some games for while driving through Utah, and am stuck trying to figure out what I want to do LOL. Anyhow, enjoy, and I hope it maybe inspires someone else too!
1st Clue - Oh Boy Oh boy can you believe your eyes, it seems your in for a great surprise! No school today for me or for you, weve got something else that we must do, It will be an adventure this wonderful day, with clues to guide you along the way. Now hurry along we mustnt be late, your next clue is hiding where you last ate. (out in car)
2nd Clue - well that wasnt so hard, but not really that easy, this day full of clues is about to get cheesey. (Cheese drawer in fridge)
3rd Clue - Ooohhh you are good, Im excited to say, this is my favorite game with you to play. (Game cabinet)
4th Clue - Yep thats the one, with black mousey ears, giggles and smiles and laughing till tears It is so much fun Id say we should play, but theres just no TIME for that game today. (Clock)
5th Clue - Oh gosh oh golly look at the time, theres so much to do before we end this ryhme, theres whos its and whats its and all that to pack, you better run and get a big sack. (Garbage bags)
6th Clue - Hee Hee just kidding your bags are all full, because Im so tricky youre ready to go, but wait not yet its a little to soon, make sure that youve all used the restroom. (Down Stairs Bathroom)
7th Clue - Not this one you goofs, there is one more, did you look there first? Behind the door? (Behind upstairs bathroom door)
8th Clue - Yep thats the ticket your winning now, your getting much closer, let the KEYS show you how (Key drawer)
9th Clue - Theres a song in my head and you must sing along, unscramble these words and then sing the song (This is the Drive that Never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends. ) (next clue in car)
10th Clue- your bags are packed, your pillows too, now all we need is little old you! Oh the places youll go, and the things you will see, as we travel along on our fun journey!
1st Clue in theCar- (DVD coloring cases on their seats with names) Buckle your seatbelts, get ready to roll, by gosh by golly its time to go! youll get to see family, maybe new friends, the road will be long before it ends. Try to be patient and stay calm too, look for sunglasses to find your next clue!
2)The words are we there yet, how long and how far, are all things you mustnt say in this car, To help you to know answers theres a fun little way, to help you see how far well travel today, color this car together, both front and back, then give it to me for the journey to track, It will start at the left and end at the right, when you wonder how far the answers in sight. A few little markers to show you the way, the roads we will travel just for today! (trade car to mom for next clue)
3)Heres your next clue as we hit the road, I know that its crowded, weve got quite the load. But I promise adventure and even more fun, this trip has just started its only begun. Under your bottom under your chair, your very next clue will be found just there.
4)Yep you found it, there should be no surprise, youve once again proven you are very wise! Tales of adventure are waiting a head, another clue can be found in what came from your bed. (Peter Pan movie with next clue in pillowcases)
5)Were off to neverland, its plain to see, magical moments for you and me, remember we have a long way to go, so sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Once it is over and you think theres no more, another surprise will be IN STORE! (everyone go in to use bathroom) come out to find snack boxes on seats.
6)Enjoy your snack, as we travel this way, I know it will be a rather long day, look out the window to pass the time, your next clue is waiting till we cross the state line.

How bout a game, its new and its fun, and it is best played while on the run, driving along keeps your eyes open wide, the winner will tell you whats next on this ride! (Road Sign Bingo))
8)Congratulations you won the game, with out you this trip wouldnt be the same. We packed a lunch for this long journey out, tacos in a bag, go ahead and shout. Enjoy some grub, then you get to choose, the fate of this game nobody can loose. Theres a magic box with gadgets galore, open it up and see whats instore. (Mickis Magic Box)
9)(wrapped up travel point journals) Tell me your thoughts, all that you think, use lots of colors, perhaps green or pink? Inside these pages youll find lots to do, and as we travel theres more pages for you. But just for right now, as the miles pass by, write down your thoughts to remember this time. When you are finished and need something new, perhaps it will be time for your next clue.
10)Today on this journey, weve got lots to do, drawing and writing and of course reading too, I found a new story it sounds pretty neat, take turns to read it, try to stay in your seat, Page by page it must be read, for each word on each page MUST be said, some of them odd, perhaps even crazy, but pay attention you dont want to be lazy. Read all the pages and when your all done, those crazy words might lead to more fun!
11)I love this adventure as we pass every mile, and all the things that are making you smile, Its time for a treasure straight out of the box, dont worry it wont be silly old socks. Open, enjoy it, as we drive along, remember this journey started with a song! (A Goofy Movie)
12)What a good movie wasnt it great? By gosh by golly its sure getting late. My tummy is rumbly, I bet yours is too, after supper well get to the next clue.
13)Lucky 13 clues in this car, looking back now weve sure traveled far, as luck would have it, theres still a lot more, memories and miles to be made and explore. Its winding down the end of this day, for an hour your video games you may play. But then in an hour when your time is through, Ill try to dream up another fun clue.
14)Oh the places youll go and the things you will see, as we travel along on this fun filled journey, Im tired and exhausted I bet you are too, lets watch a movie before our next clue.
15)I cant hardly believe that your still awake, how much more of this day do you think you can take? The movies have ended, the games are all through, it seems like theres only one thing left to do. Im super excited but must take a break, your next clue will be ready in the morning when you wake.
Day two clues
1)Good morning good morning, lets all rise and shine, we must hurry up and not waste any time. Breakfast is ready, its going to be great, get back in the car we mustnt be late. (Write on hotel Mirror)
2)Its a brand new day, with new things to do and loads of adventure waiting for you, inside your journal, new pages youll find with fun things to do to help pass the time. As you turn the pages look close to see, a scrambled up message and your own answer key. It will be kind of tricky as you figure this out, you each have your part, just piece it together to find what its about.
3)Oh the places you'll go and the things you will see as we travel along on this fun filled journey. Can you find a mountain? A Bus? and a car? If you look up high can you find a star?
4)As the wheels roll along and the miles pass by there is a new game I think we should try. There are windows beside you so look all around there are all sorts of interesting things to be found. (Snoopy Sam Bingo Game)
5)I loved that game its silly and fun, and congrats to you because you won! Im so happy to be here, I love being with you, its surely an adventure we just had to do! Ive had lots of time to try to prepare, but sometimes I dont know exactly when or where. How much time has passed by, have we eaten lunch? If yes then keep reading, if no stop and munch.
6)Now that our tummies are all filled back up, I think theres another clue in your cup.

We will be driving down in February. I'm hoping to make a scavenger hunt game for my kids for the drive down.
