Driving from Jacksonville

How long does it take to drive from the Jacksonville airport to Kissimmee? We'll be flying into Jacksonville because we got $59 airfare. Then we're going to rent a car and drive to Kissimmee.

Just searching google maps it says it would take about 3hrs to get there taking 95s to I4

PP is correct. You're looking at close to 3 hours. You would take 95 south and then I-4 west. Easy drive.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw the 3 hours also. I was wondering if anyone knew a shorter way. It won't be too bad for the money we're saving.

I think it would be closer to 2.5 hours,the only suggestion I would make is if you plan to be reaching Orlando anytime around rush hour avoid I-4 and take the Central Florida Greeneway (417) at exit 101 all the way to Kissimmee,you'll have to pay some tolls but it would be worth it to get out of the heavy traffic.

From the GA/FL line on I-95 to WDW is 190 miles. I'd agree with other posters, and say it's @ 2:45 drive, if you don't hit any rush hour traffic. That's a big 'if' though....

Just a couple of weeks ago, we left Jacksonville, just south of downtown, at 9 and made WDW by 11:30. Traffic wasn't too bad, although I was willing to drive 85+ anytime the flow of cars would allow until we reached Orlando.

Our flight doesn't get in until about 9 p.m. so we won't have to worry about traffic(I hope). Do you drive along the coast? Maps look like you might. That's the one thing I would miss driving at night.
