Will be driving from Indiana on upcoming trip, will be getting to POP around 10pm. Any other routes from I75 that would be better than the Florida Turnpike? Seems that you go out of your way(got directions from Google) seems like i went a different way last time but i can't remeber!

No, not really. Suck it up and take I-75 to the turnpike - there are no other limited access/interstate highways that'll get you there any faster.

Once on the turnpike, you could take Rt 429 toll road (Western Beltway) south toward I-4/Tampa to avoid I-4.

Personally, I'd rather go a little out of my way and use an interstate type road than miander around local back routes in only an attempt to avoid the turnpike.

Going I-75 all the way to Tampa just to pick up I-4 is just not worth it and is definitely out of your way.

Whenever my family and I use Interstate 75 we always went to the Florida Turnpike and from there to Interstate 4 Westbound when arriving to WDW.

I actually like the 75/turnpike/27/192 route for non busy arrival and departure times. I did not like 429, it seemed to take forever when we arrived. The tolls didn't help either.

Like Endeavour said, I-75 to the Florida Turnpike to SR 429 (Toll) is the easiest and quickest way to WDW. If you are staying at a resort on site, then you would get off on Hartzog Road. If you are staying on a resort on US 192, then you would get off on the US 192 exit.

Taking 27 to 192 will take you much further out of your way. It is approx. 10 or so miles from the Turnpike to Disney on the 429. Even though it is "boring" (which I always thought was good while driving), it is the fastest route by a long shot.

Even more so because of your late night travel plans, you need to stay on the Turnpike and avoid back roads. For POP your best route from I-75 is the Turnpike to TOLL 429 (exit 267A) and then the Hartzog Road/Disney World exit (exit 8). Tolls will be $3.00 on the Turnpike and then $1.00 on the 429.

CR Resort Fan, I agree that the I-4 routing is better for you given your destination in Disney is the Contemporary Resort. But for Pop Century, the 429 is quicker. But if you ever want to go to the Contemporary via the employee entrance, let me know and I'll give you the routing via the back roads!!

Bob,

Are you saying that I-4 is a better route to CR from the Turnpike?

Bob, Are you saying that I-4 is a better route to CR from the Turnpike?

Well, better is such a relative term. I don't think it's quicker than using the 429 but for someone unfamiliar with the Disney road system, I think it's easier to use I-4. If cheaper is better, then the I-4 routing saves $.50. So again, I think it depends on the traveler.
