Driving from DC

We're driving from DC and plan on leaving about noon Friday. We'd like to get to Savannah about 10pm or so, and found a Westin that looks nice to stop. It's about $70 so it's not too much more than some motels closer to the highway. I liked the idea of having our minivan valet parked, so it'll be safe with all our luggage left in it. Then we can get room service in the morning and eat while we get cleaned up and dressed to go.
Has anyone stopped in Savannah? Any other hotels to recommend? I didn't want to go too far from the highway but one hotel employee told me they were at most 20 mins from I95.
I am just concerned with parking in a motel with our luggage and all. Plus the heavenly bed sounds like just what we'll need!

I would be very careful about leaving luggage in the car because many people have told me that there are people who look for license plates from other states and they rob your belonging out of the car. we are also driving from NY in January and plan on emptying the car in south carolina when we stop. Also what is the heavenly bed?

Maybe we'll just empty the car too. It's a lot, though, with groceries and all.

A heavenly bed is supposed to be really comfy pillow top. I've heard they're really nice, and it would be better than getting stuck with a really uncomfortable bed like some motels have.

Oh my....a heavenly bed is just that....heavenly...! They have to be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on (and of course, I have only found them at a Westin). You just get lost in them they are so comfortable.......ahhhhhh

You will not regret your hotel nor bed choice.

Just found out Westin is 16 miles from the highway. So we changed our minds and are going for a Clarion or Country Inn and Suites for the night. Anyone stayed at either? They're exit 94 off I95 (I think). Got one good review for the Country Inn so that sounds good.
