Driving from central VA????

I am hoping someone can help. We live in NJ but will be visiting my parents in Appomattox VA before our drivr to FL. We would normally take 460 East to I95. Map quest gave me different directions. 29s to like 40/85 to 95. Can anyone say if one is better then the other or give easy directions from that area??? Any help would be great! Thanks

I checked maps.google.com to see what it would give, and looks like the same as mapquest -- go through Danville into NC and then I-77 in Charlotte down to I-95.

Might be the most direct. Getting from Appomattox to -- well, pretty much anywhere else involves a lot of backroads. The directions mapquest gives looks more direct than taking 460 east to I-95.

thanks for the help! DH and I went on a cruise 3 yrs ago and took 460 to 95. I was hoping to find a more direct route. As you have stated Appommattox to anuwhere is not a straight run. Thanks
