I don't know if you are driving straight thru or how old you are.
If you are an older person I'd drive half way stop overnight.
If you are young and are driving 24 hr. I'd advise leaving after 6pm. I know most people leave in the early morning but I found that leaving after 6 was great. You miss all CT, NYC. NJ and WDC traffic. Once you are passed WDC it is clear sailing.
Books on tape help pass the time.
Also have someone else stay awake with you when you drive.
Get a EZpass of you car. this is the best thing I ever bought.
No waiting at any tolls from here to Florida.
Bring a cooler of food and drinks, drink alot so you Have to take bathroom stops to stretch the legs. LOL

Drive to WDC and take the auto train the rest of the long boring trip.
