Driving down to Mickey's for Christmas!

I am so glad things went well, or as best as they could given the situation. Funny, but they way the other child is described from the past and this mom I see them as the bullies and not yours. Damien is going to be so better off in the long run with you as his parent and sticking by the punishment...love the trade is a trade and cancelling his playdates (:rolleyes1 although in a strange way it really helps you out).

So much to get done...I can't wait to see how it all unfolds and gets done.

Thank you! Yeah I have thought about that and one of my close friends here had lunch with me today and I told her about everything (she's not friends with C I have known her from somewhere else). She said that she didn't like the attitude of C's kids to begin with and she knew in her head it was only a matter of time before I saw it too, but she kept her mouth shut so that she didn't influence my decision she said! She's a really good friend with the weirdest cat (It has 6 toes on every foot- like the 2 front and the 2 back)! But anyway I haven't gossiped about her to anyone but on here and to my friend and I'm going to keep it that way and like Amy said Kill her with kindness! thank you though!

I know right? I can't either! I am going to start working on the printing now since I am waiting for Damien to fall asleep! Hopefully the monster oh sorry no I mean Emily... falls asleep to because it's her bedtime also, but K isn't home yet and she keeps going outside to look for him!

Although I keep saying this today I am going to get things printed out and I want to get Damien's book together but I know that's not going to happen until at least Monday! So tonight I am going to make sure that I print out/figure out how to get the bags done and do them! Of course after I finish catching up!

Okay I can't do any updates yet because Damien is still in the shower and then his teeth before bed... SO I am going to update on here what I have done these last 2 days I was SUPPOSED to be doing my Disney stuff (Tammie how do you keep on track so well? Do you ignore everyone and just focus on that?).
1- Monday I have no idea what I did all day because I can't remember that far back I think that I was still trying to figure out the J and Damien thing-- you have to remember I was pregnant once and since then I have no memory!
2- Tuesday I had to run around paying bills Oh wait-- back to Monday I remember now! On Monday I was going to go pay bills but I had an alarming call from my grandfather asking me to hurry over after I get Damien to school! Frightened I quickly drove over after I talked to the teacher about the situation with the Pokemon cards and he tells me that while he was watching the Jets game the night before a spectator decided to join him. He knew that the mouse was in the house watching the jets game with him because he saw something like a black ball run along the glass table the TV sits on! Then he swears that he heard squeaking as well! Even though I know that this old man is delusional I take him to Lowes for *A* mousetrap! I was helping him find them and we had no luck, I kept trying to ask someone for help but he is worried that someone is going to think that he's a dirty person since he has a mouse in his house- like I said he's crazy! We walked out with $30 worth of mouse traps of all varieties and he insists on using self check out because he didn't want anyone to know who was visiting him right now! So we went to his house (which is kept pristine when Damien isn't there) and I am setting up the mouse traps while listening to him (and his wife is home now too so she was telling me the same thing) to not put anything where that dog could have a chance of getting it! And I had to draw a map of where I put the traps for this crazy old man! SO needless to say I never got around to paying the bills because my day was spent with a nutcase that thinks a mouse is in his house! He still has yet to catch the mouse as of today (Wednesday) and when I stopped by there today it didn't even look like anything had tried to nibble at the peanut butter that was on the traps-- I DON'T think that there is a real mouse I think that my grandfather is just going crazy! So now back to Tuesday! I had to go pay bills, get to Damien's school to to discus how we are going to make butter on Friday with the kids and I had to check my mailbox in the PTO room so that was my day!
3- Today my sister in law came over by surprise and while I was outside with Damien waiting for the bus driver she was hungry and they don't eat cereal or toast so she ate the left over pasta fazool I made for my grandfather and his wife! So that skinny minnie drove me up a wall because now I have to explain to the mouse crazy grandfather that there is no more soup for him because Khine was hungry! He doesn't want to cook right now in fear that the mouse will want to stay! Then I ran around to stores with my sister in law... I purchased a lap desk for Damien in the car on the way to Disney, I also bought some hats and gloves (why is it that all of the gloves from last year are missing it's pair?) and I bought all of the materials for the Christmas activity I have to do with Damien's class in December! In December his teacher asks all of the moms that volunteer to do an activity with the kids that they can wrap and bring home for a special person at home! I am going to do an idea I saw on a website-I'm not buying the kit though because the boys with complain about the colors so I bought red and green foam paper and they will trace their hands on the green. On the red they will glue a poem that I printed out that says "My hand is like a snowflake, Unique in every way, Please keep it close to your heart, I'll be grown some day" and sign their names and the date! Then we will use the hole puncher to punch holes into the little finger and the thumb and tie some ribbon so they can either hang it on the tree or a door or something! I figure this will be best for kids that don't celebrate Christmas! Oh I forgot to say I bought foam snowflakes that are stickers and they can stick those on all over the hand and such! Plus it's good because I know of 2 kids in the class that don't have both parents, there may be more but I don't know and this will not make them feel "left out" because it's not specifically for a mom or dad you could give it to a grandma or an aunt!
Tomorrow I will be at the school and then my sister in law is coming over so Damien can teach her how to make the crumb cake:lmao: he's 6 teaching a 27 year old how to bake! Oh but that makes me think.... maybe my in laws will take Damien tomorrow night and Saturday I can get more done:confused3. We will have to see! Okay so that's my excuse of this little week alone why I can't get things done!

I totally agree with Tammie!!! On all accounts...even the "there is just so much to get done!!!"

Busy week!!!

Whoa...what a couple of days you have had...crazy mouse...and no his house is not dirty with a mouse...mice get in trust me!!! I have had my fair share of them in the house...dang things...since we remodeled the kitchen and took it back to the studs we have had no issues...made it mouse proof!

You are such a great mom at school! Damien is sure lucky and a parent that is involved means a child that understands the value of education...

How do I get things done...hmmm...let me just say with life changes in the female department I find myself up a lot at night. I AM NOT A NIGHT PERSON, but I have not been sleeping well lately and I spend a lot of time between 1 am-4 am getting things done.

K is at work, Emily is sleeping and my monkey is at his grandma's for the whole weekend! I AM GETTING THOSE TRIP BINDERS DONE!!! I am sitting here printing, but I have no idea where to start or how many pages to give myself and so on! Oh boy this is going to be a fun day! I don't want to get distracted so I am going to come on here later and check emails when at least one of them are done!

You may just motivate me to get mine done. I was telling dh the other day that I have not put ours together yet... which is SOOO unlike me since normally I have it done way in advance!

Good luck :thumbsup2

WAHOO...no husband, no child, dog sleeping...what a great day! :woohoo:

Did you get yours done? I am about to post how much I got done! VERY proud of myself:snooty:!

WAHOO...no husband, no child, dog sleeping...what a great day! :woohoo:

She didn't stay asleep for long, but wasn't too much of a problem!

Okay so i got a TON done today! I turned off the phone and gave Emily an early Christmas bone and got to work! This is what I got done today!

1-Damien's trip binder- I am thinking of adding a few more activity pages, but I'm not sure I want to run it by his teacher!
2-All 8 of the state bags! They don't look perfect, but they will do the job! I am thinking that the ones on the way home I will just put in a pretty wrapping paper so I will have to add that to my list now!
3-Most of my trip journal- I need to find where I can print little 4x6 maps and snack locations and CS locations and things like that just in case we don't feel like eating what I planned! Also I am not sure how to do the Mousecellaneous folder and the driving folders (I don't want to put all of the directions in there so should I just put addresses and numbers of the stops that we are going to make? Also do you use just regular glue to glue in the pages? Or super glue? I haven't glued them in yet!

Tomorrow I will be without Damien for a little while again so I want to see what I can get done while he's still not here to see! I had purchased a lap desk for him for the car and want to give that to him in the morning- should I tie a bow on it or would that look silly? He hasn't seen it! I know that the directions and map and such I can do in front of him because he knows that we are going, just not when! I can also do the house schedule while he's here too (I have 3 different people watching my house and a maybe for Emily- I am thinking I will be better off putting her in the kennel near my house, but I fear the kennel cough and she has a flea medicine but I am worried about that too! My DH was pretty good today! He came home from work and had surprised me with Panera bread for lunch (but there was so much I ate for dinner too) then left for the gun range so I could "get more done" although if he had taken Emily I could have finished everything:rolleyes:! I hope that you all got a lot done too!

:woohoo: Great job!!!!

I got a lot done, too! House is clean, laundry folded and off the couch, and getting ready to start pulling out xmas decorations. Not going to do a whole lot tonight... I can't put the tree up til the kids get home... just doesn't feel right. But I can get out my boring stuff they don't have any interest in!

Got some christmas shopping done... not all but a very good start and I don't think it will be too hard to finish it up.

And :thumbsup2 to your hubby for bringing you Panera!!!

You were very productive! Remind me again, are you going to be on the dp? If so, do you want a list of snack items that count as a snack? I have a hard copy that I have saved from previous trips, but I am sure I can find it on my computer somewhere.

:woohoo: Great job!!!!

Sounds like you were productive too. I am a bit jealous. Dh won't even let me start playing the Disney Holiday CD that I have until after Thanksgiving. He would never ever agree to having the tree up before Thanksgiving. For years it was a struggle to get the tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Now he is use to it... but I will not be able to put up Christmas decorations until the bird has been ate and the carcass is in the pot!

Hey that sounds like a lot done! I want to put up decorations too- it's our first year with this house and I want to know what else I will need to decorate it! But it feels weird because there are 4 houses on my little block and one has Halloween still up, another has Thanksgiving and then 2 are not decorated (mine is one that's not decorated)!
My SIL and I are going to try to do black Friday:sad2: in the city again! We did it one year and it was a mess because we brought a car load of adults so nothing fit back in the car! Then another year we took her husband and shopped at Kohl's then left him in line, while he was holding our spot we bought breakfast (for him too we aren't mean:rolleyes1he didn't get it until we got back though), got in and out of bath and body works, PLUS made it down the next exit on the LIE to toys r us! When we got back we were sure he was done paying, but he was still waiting! We then waited while he ate for the remaining 10 minutes! So needless to say we have scared everyone away from black Friday's with us! But I am like you I have been buying little things here and there so I don't have too much to buy still- really I think just Damien and Kaung left!
I was looking like this :scared1: when he brought me the food!

Yes I am on the DP and that's what I am looking for! Can I have a copy of that please?
:lmao:About the bird before the Christmas! As much as I want to put up the decorations I love doing it that Friday after Thanksgiving and shopping and being in the mood when I come back from shopping! Although I am all alone in the decorating because Damien finds it boring as of last year and K says it's not his holiday to do the work for it!

I am so excited we are leaving really soon! I am happy and anxious all at the same time!

I will dig up that list and get it to you later today.

I too am both excited and nervous about the trip. Under three weeks...but I have so much to do before then and dh isn't a lot of help in these matters and then... all the work and planning. Isn't it horrible of me to feel kinda scared that it will be over soon? I know, I am crazy. The trip starting is a GOOD thing. Not a bad thing..:sad2:
