Driving down need your advice

We will be leaving our home which is 2 hrs north of Ottawa.
Are we best to cross the border ASAP or to travel through Ontario and cross at the Falls or Windsor?
Which is the shortest distance? The cheapest?
Nine excited and very happy Canadians will be leaving in one month from today but how do we get there???? <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face"> but
