driving directions

have been to orlando on many occasions but this will be the first time staying on site ( asmr) does any know the driving directions from the airport ( virgin flight ) is it best to go to the 192 to world drive or around the back .DH very good at getting us to destination but cant seem to find a good enough map .
any tips or help would be very helpfull .

Lots of different ways to go I suppose but I'd suggest taking the south exit from MCO and then the Greenway (417). Then it depends if you want to see some of the sights of WDW or go straight to AS resorts.

If you come off Highway 417 at the junction with SR 536 then you can go all the way through WDW following the signs for Blizzard Beach. The All-Star resorts are past BB, under Osceola Parkway and then past McDonalds.

Alternatively, Simon's book suggests staying on 417 until you hit Osceola Parkway and then taking this into WDW coming off at McDonalds.

The 2nd option's probably quicker but I'd personally go for the first one so that I get to drive around WDW as soon as possible after arriving in America !

We invariably stay in villas just off the US192 around marker 5 (a stone's throw from the All Star resorts). We always take the 417 Central Florida Greeneway from the airport, but rather than getting off on the 192, we exit onto the Osceola Parkway. It runs almost parallel with the 192 but is far quicker, plus you do get to drive under one of the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" arches. That's enough for us to get our fix when all we really want to do after the flight is get to our accommodation and start chilling!

The 417 is very clearly signed at the airport. You then need to take exit 3 onto the Osceola Parkway and head west.
