Hey everyone! My family and I are planning on driving to WDW in a few months from the Cleveland area. We have never made the drive before and probably will be doing it over 2 days, my question to you all is what is a good stopping point along the way? Any hotels you might recommend? (something clean, pretty cheap, just to sleep a bit one night). Has anyone done this drive before, any particulare route we should take? Any other advice, tips, ideas, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks! :yay:

We used to make the drive from Canton yearly. 77 to 26 to 95 to 4 is the way to go. If we stayed anywhere, it was around the Columbia, SC area. There are some nice hotels near the intersection of 77 and 20. Most of the time we drove straight through.

We follow the same route as the PP. We have stayed several times in and around Mooresville and Lake Norman, NC.

We've done the same route many times. We usually stop around the Columbia, SC, or Port Wentworth, GA, area on the way down and love the Lake Norman area for a stop on the way back home. That reminds me that we need to book our stops for this coming Easter trip!;) TRy to make sure that you are out of Florida before 10am on the way back, or traffic becomes progressively slower all the way to Charlotte, NC.:thumbsup2
