On a scale of one to Clampett, how would you rate "camping" in someone's driveway?
We are combining a camping trip with a visit to the in-laws for our vacation. (I know in-laws and vacation should rarely be included in the same sentence
)
The inlaws have offered to have us plug in at their house for the 3 nights we will be there. I am leaning toward politely declining and finding a local campground.
So give your opinion. Camping in a driveway; a great way to save a few bucks to save for next year's Disney trip or tacky as heck? Note: This is a regular house in the suburbs not country acreage.

And this was our only option other then sending the visiting family's to hotels (and they really wanted to stay at the house and we have a very tiny house, under 800 sq.). The neighbors laughed and gave us grief, but it worked.
...I love my in-laws (5 x's fast)
....we do this several times a year because we own property that joins theirs so we go up quad/dirt bike riding and hunting, but don't want to stay in the house and disrupt them.
