Don't understand the large backpacks either. We've gone with two and three kids respectively, and both times the only thing we brought was a small baggalini that held snacks, bibs, diapers/pull-ups, cream, drinks, etc. Everything we needed in that small bag.

I've been walked into/banged into etc by people with no bags, small bags, and backpacks.

We carry a backpack and don't nail other people with it like described here.

I think it has a lot more to do with whether or not people pay attention to their surroundings than the size of the bag.

I think anyone, in any stall, ought to try to be as fast as humanly possible. But I also think they ought to try to be particularly efficient when using the handicapped stall. If you expect you'll be settling in for half an hour, please choose an ordinary stall, preferably at the far back, in a bathroom with more than three stalls (ie, not the one near the entrance to the World Showcase, please!).

I think people should refrain from using the sink in the handicapped stall - get in and get out, there are other sinks you can use.

But I do not think that all able bodied persons should refrain from ever entering the handicapped stall, leaving it empty at all times, just on the off chance that a handicapped person might happen to enter that particular restroom. It's definitely considerate to wave the handicapped person and/or attendant ahead, if the stall empties (since there's only the one), but they shouldn't expect to always find it waiting for them.

Sorry to hear that there isn't consistency, with regards to wheelchairs fitting. That must be a major pain!

This exactly! Handicapped stalls are for anyone to use. But you should try to get in and out as quickly as possible as you should with any stall.

Regarding your earlier comment about people not being ready to order quick service by the time they get to the register...another thing that bugs me is when the whole group/family gets in line instead of just couple people in the party. It makes the line twice as long.

Wow all that in one small baggalini? 3 diapers alone would fill it, add the cream, drinks, snacks, camera, change of clothing..3 kids hmmm I used back backs. Now my kids are grown and still need a back back for camera, charger for camera/phone, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, eyeglasses, sweatshirt for cold attractions, snacks, water, medication, wallet etc

This is another peeve of mine! Why on earth do parents allow kids to throw balls, toys whatever in a crowded place?? I also can't stand it when you're at a crowded pool and daddy and the boys decide to throw a football/ball around in the crowded pool! I'll bet this family NEVER plays football or catch when they're on dry land.. but add water! Just hit me in the head.... I double-dog-dare you! How do you relax and enjoy a swim when you're dodging incoming missiles?

Most larger resorts have a quiet pool for this very reason. The main pool is the more active playful one. The quiet one doesn't allow playing like that...or at least not supposed to

I don't care if folks haul a large backpack but I can't imagine wearing one all day like some folks do. I don't like getting hit by them though. It is difficult for a person wearing a backpack to turn in a crowded area without bumping someone with the pack; they really have to be aware of their surroundings and be careful and many are not.

I've been hit a number of times when seated on a aisle seat when others are still loading on an aircraft. If I have a backpack when loading on an airplane, I take it off before boarding and carry it in front of me because it is difficult to swing it off on-board the plane without hitting someone.

I always hate walking down plane aisles. They are so very tiny, and it's very hard not to hit people in the aisles when you're carrying a 30 lb, 37" tall child that can't walk and trying to bring any kind of carry-on. Even my small rolling suitcase with spinner wheels doesn't always go straight when I'm pushing it in front of me (or behind). I try *very* hard, but sometimes it happens, and I'm always *very* apologetic if it does.

Most people i see are trying the best they can. Accidents can and do happen sometimes. It sucks, but if the person realizes what happens and is apologetic, then I don't get upset about it.

We fly southwest, so they don't board front to back...everyone picks their own seats (well, til spaces start running low any way)

The seats in the front are considered more desirable and therefore more expensive. There are several reasons for this. Usually the noise level on the plane from the engine is louder the further in the back you sit, so people enjoy the quiet more in the front. Also, if you're in the front, you are first to get off the plane when it lands and also close to the bathroom (though the plane might have several) and also are first to get snacks and drinks, as well.

I don't think the PP was questioning why the front seats are more expensive, but rather questioning why airlines load from front to back - where people are more prone to accidentally hitting those already seated - as opposed to loading seats back to front.

I think there was a mythbusters episode a while ago about the fastest ways to load planes where they tried out many different loading configurations. It was interesting.

You'd be surprised how much it can hold! Granted, we make it a habit to take a break mid-day back at the condo, so things like camera chargers and changes of clothes aren't as vital and we can re-stock diapers/wipes/formula/baby food. We can usually fit about 6 diapers/pull-ups and wipes in the front compartment. In the main compartment we'll have snacks, formula, more diapers/pull-ups, camera, band-aids, sunscreen etc. For drinks, we usually have everyone bring a water bottle that we hold in the stroller cupholders and we refill with free water around the park. Other stuff like ponchos can go in the stroller basket. We rent a stroller and those also come with a cooler pack for other drinks or more storage.

Yeah I'm not wasting all that time heading back to a resort

When DD was little, we always carried extras into the park because like you we didn't want to waste time going back to the resort. However we never carried all that stuff around. Instead we rented a locker and kept all of the "just in case" stuff there. It was so nice not having to lug everything around. You might try that some time and see how liberating in can be to not have that enormous backpack weighing you down.

Seems people keep talking about backpacks. Not trying to pick a fight, but I just don't understand why people care what others bring in? We don't bring anything in other than cell phone and magic band, but I could care less if others want to pack like a Sherpa.

I don't think people would care how much people carry in or how big their backpacks were if they weren't getting wacked by them. People forget how much extra space they need before they make a quick turn with their pack on. You may have just been lucky so far but this is a problem everywhere. I've been wacked by backpacks, purses, etc. on my commuter rail for the same reason.

I don't see the 'wasting time' argument when it comes to lugging a ton of stuff around. We go at rope drop, stay til 11, drive back to the condo for a few hours as a break, go back around 2:30/3, go to dinner around 5/6 and then leave most days. And yet still (thanks to rope drop, fastpass, and child swap) ride all the rides we want to ride multiple times. There's no wasted time there. Park smarter, not harder.

When people walk into a park or exit an attraction, do they already have in mind where they are going or is it huh... Would you look at that. It's a theme park.

I'm constantly tripping over my own feet behind those moving at a pace slower than a backwards moving snail.
