Drive to MK from Disney resort or take Disney transportation?

Need help - normally we do take their bus from the resort to the park. We are staying in Art of Animation this time and will rent a car. However, getting to MK from MK parking lot seeming like to much. I am thinking if I should just take the bus or should I park at Contemporary and take the Monorail over?

Definitely take the bus to Magic Kingdom.

its always wise to take the bus to MK not drive.

btw you can't just park at the contemporary to go to MK for the day.

Take the bus 99 out of a 100 times. We had a large group in January. Most of the group took the bus from Pop Century and several of us drove. We pulled out in our car before the MK bus arrived. We were in the parking lot early (spot near front) and didn't have to ride the tram and timed the boat acrossed perfectly. The bus riders still beat us by 15 minutes.
