Just curious if anyone knows what the realistic drive time is from Carlsbad to Anaheim on a weekday morning?

We live near RSF & Melrose, and can typically be at TS parking about 75-80 minutes after we leave home, as long as we don’t stop at Krispy Kreme. (And as long as the Border Check isn’t open... and there’s no accident... etc. etc.) That’s with departures between 6 and 8 and use of the carpool lane.

Go to GoogleMaps online

Enter Destination then "Directions"

Click the "Leave now" drop down menu on the left then select "Depart At" or "Arrive By" and you can play with dates/times to see typical and historical traffic drive times.

I never knew you could do that, thank you! Super helpful.

We live a little further south in North County San Diego. On an early Saturday morning I can do door to door in an hour and 15 minutes. However, you’re going to run into traffic in the OC on a weekday. I highly recommend leaving as early as possible. Depending on how close to the 5 you are in Carlsbad, if you leave by 6am, you should make rope drop unless the border check is open or there’s a wreck. The later you leave, the longer it’ll take.
