I have 2 choices of flight times: 8am or 10:30 am. Wondering which one would make me catch worse rush hour morning traffic. Also, what time do we have to leave Harbor Blvd to get to LAX in time to drop off our car rental, and make the flight? Thanks! :woohoo:

While I am far from an expert on LA traffic, I think that traffic getting to an 8am flight will be MUCH better, since you would need to be at LAX by about 6:00 to drop the car with plenty of time (I would say 6:30 but I tend to cut it closer).

If you go on google maps, and look up the area, turn on the "traffic" label on the upper right (usually says "terrain" by default, click that and go to "traffic". Then in the lower left corner next to "Live Traffic" is a button to change. You can set it to whatever day and time to see historical traffic. To get there by 6:00, i would say leave DL by 5:15. Yuck, early morning.

Thank you Mister Toad! That is very useful information about the google maps traffic label. :cool1:

There is no doubt that the 8AM flight will let you avoid more traffic. If you left at 5:30AM you should be fine even with returning the car.

For the 10:30 flight you'd have to leave Anaheim at 7AM to be reasonably assured you'd have plenty of time.
