Drive or shuttle from hotel?

Should we drive or shuttle from the hotel? We'd love to save the parking cost if the shuttle is convenient. We don't have a park hopper, but may leave mid day some days for lunch and swimming in the pool. We're staying at the Comfort Inn maingate East 4/20-4-27.

If stay offsite I would be a must to have car. The off site shuttles is unreliable.

most (not all) offsite shuttles only take you in the morning, and bring you back in the evening.

so if you want a break take your car.

IIRC many shuttles charge per person, not trip, so you may do better by driving and paying to park. I think it's now $11 or $12. FWIW.
