Drive or bus to Hollywood Studios?

Hi!

We will be staying at the Contemporary the last week of March 2019. We arrive on a Wednesday and we want to visit Hollywood Studios (head there in the afternoon after we check in to the resort) and stay to watch Fantasmic. I'm sure after Fantasmic there will be a lot of people heading to the buses. We are renting a car for our trip. Do you suggest we drive to Hollywood Studios or take the bus?

If we drive to the park should we even bother checking in to the resort first or just go straight there?

If you successfully use "On-line Check-in Service" in your MDX account, you won't need to go to the resort front desk at all.
Check-in will all be done before you arrive.
So, you COULD drive directly to the park and just drive to the resort and head to your room late that night. Your bags should be there, delivered by Disney's Magical Express.
