I took the kids last night to the drive in. It was the first time they ever watched a movie from the car. Finding Nemo and Bruce Almighty were playing. They loved it. I told them that they'd take a bath, put on their night-night clothes and we'd go to the movies. DD wanted to take her shower at 9:00 a.m. for the 9:00 p.m. show because she was so excited.

So, what's the last drive in movie that you went to see? Umm, I don't think the Sci-Fi Restaurant at MGM counts. ;)

I think it was Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Yes, it was a while ago.

I remember when I was little going to see one of the Herbie the Luv Bug movies at the drive-in. My family and our best friends/neighbors parked next to each other. We kids all sat on the hoods. It was so much fun!

Remember trying to sneak peaks at the other movies going on? I remember seeing the Rescuers but kept looking over at a nearby screen of Orca, the Killer Whale. LOL!

I love drive ins! My DD was at one when she was small but doesn't remember it. I can't remeber what it was either but they still had the old speakers that hooked on your window as well as through the stereo. We used to go all the time when I was a kid.I have one about 40 minutes away and I really want to take the kids.

We took the kids to see Shrek at the drive in. I did not like it there. People were rude and driving and turning car lights on. And, so many people smoked because it was outside that a haze hung over the lot. I would rather pay the money for air conditioned comfort. (BTW, it wasn't any cheaper.)

Gee, that stinks, Carol.

The lot was packed with cars and pretty much everyone was well-behaved.

It only cost us $10 for me and the 2 kids.... for 2 movies... I thought that was cheap. Now, except for the stop on the way at the mini-mart for snacks....

I think it was Twister with my then boyfriend.

I love Drive Ins!

There are not any drive ins around here that I am aware of. Too bad, because my kids would probably love that as well.

I would venture to guess the last time I was at a drive in movie was close to 30 years ago!

I can't even remember the last drive in movie. Probably Pippi Longstocking or the Apple Dumpling Gang. Been a few years.

We just took the kids last night to see The Rugrats movie. The drive- in is a huge hit for my family. We are fortunate to live in an area with two drive-ins in close proximity. The weather in New York has not been too cooperative since Memorial Day weekend when they opened, but hopefully that will change now.

crs7568, where are the drive-ins? Were only about 25 minutes from middletown!

Sheesh! Not since I was a kid. There was a drive-in and an outdoor ice skating rink next to each other. I remember skating on that rink! ;) They were both torn down YEARS ago to put up Willowbrook Mall.

It was a LONG time ago. My Aunt, who has since passed away, took me to see The Rescuers. We don't have drive-ins here anymore. :(

I went & saw The New Guy & Big Fat Liar last year.

Before that it was a double feature of Lion King & Forrest Gump.
