Ok let me see. If I were pulling out of a driveway in the Lindfield area how long would it take me to say pull into the AK parking lot? The reason I say AK is because thats the fartherest park. Im fixin to send in a deposit on a villa there, which thanks to my other post im feeling pretty confident about. But now im wondering about the drive. Can anyone give me a drive time. We have stayed at HIFS and it was very close and I was wondering if Lindfields was just as close or a little further away.

10 minutes to the AK parking lot. If you encounter traffic, it may be 15 minutes door to door.

Hello Beautybelle,

Believe it or not, AK is actually the closest Park to you from Lindfields. Here is the super short cut to AK. We have a home in Emerald Island which is just another mile or so east of Lindfields toward Disney and this is the route we take all the time.

Turn Right on 192 toward Disney. When you get to Black Lake Road which will come up quickly only on your Left, turn left. You will immediately turn a little curve and start paralleling 192. Keep going past Silver Lake Entrance to a stop sign at Sherberth Rd. You will be just 100 feet from 192 on your right.
Turn LEFT on Sherberth Road...as you are driving down a long straight stretch look at the trees ahead. See the off colored green tree sticking up a little higher than the others? It is the Tree of Life in AK....keep going straight and take couple of sharp little curves and you will end up a stop light. To your left is the entrance to Animnal Kingdom LODGE (Great Buffet at Boma's).
Turn right and Animal Kingdom will appear on your left. Turn left at the first cement drive that connects to AK Parking if you are headed to Animal Kingdom... Go straight and all of Disney will appear.
To go home follow the signs inside the park to Animal Kingdom. As you approach AK stay LEFT and follow the sign to AK LODGE.
You are now right back at the stop light. Turn LEFT on Sherberth and go back to either Black Lake and turn right or straight to 192 and turn right back to Lindfields!

On busy days this will save you a half hour of hasseling the traffic all way on 192 to Disney!!

Congratulations!!! You are now a real Disney veteran in terms of getting around....

Have a great time...Ted

Ted is correct. AK is not the farthest park. And the Sherberth Rd. route is a great one. But even without that, its still only 10-15 minutes to the parking lots of any of the parks. We've stayed at Lindfields several times and its an easy drive.

Steve is right on...my only asterisk here is (*) between 9 and 11 AM 192 from Lindfields on in to Disney can get terribly backed up and a 1/2 hour delay is not a rare thing, especially weekends, holidays and summers.

There are two new stoplights on 192 east of the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird (the last hotel on the "strip" of 192 before Disney) and the 2 mile drive from Holiday Inn to Disney used to be a straight shot. Now those two lights and the lights at Formosa Gardens Blvd. and Sherberth road can really jam up up traffic more than before. After 11 am usually no problem.....but still love good 'ol Sherberth Road!!!

Wow! What directions. I and my family would be absolutely thrilled to get to see the top of TOL going down the road. Wouldnt that be the coolest thing! Well Im feeling very confident in my choice now. I think we will be very happy staying there. Im really happy about having a washer and dryer and a private pool at our villa. Ok so now I have the tickets and accomadations (ms) out of the way, that feels good. Thanks everyone. Isnt it great to plan a trip to the happiest place on earth. I have a pretty long wait but the time will fly im sure of it.
