Drive from GTA to Cape Liberty?

Has anyone done the drive from GTA to the cruise port? Are googlemaps time estimations for this destination typically accurate? Thanks!

Done it twice. Takes 8.5-9 hrs with just gas and washroom breaks for us. We will take 90 to Syracuse then head south on 81.

Did it in Feb and doing it again end of March. Staying in staten island and sight seeing Saturday and then cruise out Sunday. Easy drive.
