Good Morning Everyone,

We are flying in and out of LAX in May (specifically May 4th & 10th) and my question is, our flight leaves LAX to go home at 1:15pm on a Sunday (May 10th) and we will have to return our rental car. We are staying at the HOJO at Disneyland so what time do you think we should leave (based on traffic and having to return our rental car) so we ensure we don't miss our flight?

Thank you all, never flow into our out of LAX so this will be great info. for us.

:thumbsup2

You shouldn't (key word shouldn't) run into any traffic at that time on a Sunday. I drove my DSis to LAX recently on a Thursday, mid day, and hit little traffic. We started about 30 miles to the east (further away than you will be) and it took just about and hour and 10 min.

I would give yourself an hour for the drive (which is plenty of time), add on for car return (while you have to take a shuttle to LAX from car rental return) and then add on another 30 min. just in case. Then of course add-on an extra hour for being at the airport an hour before your flight. So, I would say about 3 hours. Give or take.

Have a great trip-DLR is great in May! :goodvibes

You didn't ask directions but I would rec. staying off the 5 freeway until you are south of the 91. I would take the 105 (south) directly from the LAX to the 605 (south) to the 91 East to the 5 South. It's just a short bit on the 5 'til you hit DLR area.

Can I hijack your thread for a second, sorry :rolleyes1
DH is fly to LAX on Friday and we will already be in Disneyland. His coming in around 3 or so.
Should we go get him or have him take a shuttle or something from the airport?
Thanks.

At 3 p.m. on a Friday I would have him take a shuttle for sure. He'll get to you faster and you won't lose all that time at DLR! ;)

Traffic on Fridays can be awful. Just think of all the stress you'll save by not having to drive in it.
