If you are a Wino (like me) You are going to love F&W Fest. There is wine (usually 2-3 different ones for sample) at every tasting booth, of which there are about 25, I think. Then there's the Australian Wine Walk-About and the American Wine Adventure, each of those has 4 or 5 booths. And, I believe I saw that this year they have added the Andean Wine bar with 20 or so wines for purchase from Argentina & Chile.
There are also Wine seminars, schools & tastings - some free, some hard ticketed.
The Ultimate Wino experience at F&W Fest for me is Party for the Senses. 25 top Chefs from all over the world plus over 70 different wines - all you care to taste with the bonus of Cirque du Soliel performances thruout the evening. The wineries have their representatives there to talk to you about their offerings. Very nice.
Just make sure you don't get stuck there! The Rose & Crown is like a black hole...you go in for "just one" and...6 drinks later, you're trying to get your fellow bar patrons to do a group skinny dip in the World Showcase Lagoon!!
YEP, YEP!! This happened to us last trip. We met a lovely family from Wales and we sat there for 4 hours. Their little girl even crawled up in my lap and fell asleep for an hour. We had just arrived in town and they were leaving the next day. We had such a great time!
