Drinking water in the parks

I don't know if every CS has hot water but any that serve hot tea do. You can just ask for hot water, no purchase neccessary. :goodvibes You don't need to order anything. I've done it now at the Bakery on Main Street as well as River Belle Terrace (that's where I was first told about it by a CM.)

Thank you! What an awesome tip! I love tea in the mornings! :goodvibes

The only two times I asked for a glass of ice water they wanted to charge me regular price which was like 2.69. I always use my water bottle strap for my bottle and refill at Rancho or first aid. The straps are very cute and only cost 3.00. :)

Did you ask for water as part of your meal? We always do that and never get charged at any CS. I never tried without ordering a meal.

That surprises me. We ask for water and/or ice water at least several times during each trip. Never had anyone try to charge me for it. Many times I'm just getting water without purchasing anything else. Maybe you had a couple new CMs.

I plan to buy the kids camel back packs on ebay. there so cheap and with 32 oz's of water each the kids will do fine. then when we go back to the motel to swim we will refill them from the bottled water we get delivered to our motel. I also plan on getting the adults one to. they hold much more and are a god send when one is thirsty. the park water fountains are gross tasting!

When I've asked for a cup of ice water (when not buying anything else), I put on my sweetest face and ask if it's possible to "just get a cup of water". They ask if I want ice, I say yes, I move along with my ice water.

At a place like Rancho, they will give you a smaller cup b/c they don't have control of the fountains, and they want to know that you're just getting water (or getting an annoyingly small amount of free soda, lol).

But Rancho also has a nice spout in their seating area...it's from the cart that has the to go plates and the salsas. On this trip I did buy one big water bottle, then I filled it there later on.

I am not overly picky about water, and I like the water just fine there.

We take our own water bottles and refill them thruout the day. We get water in Rancho, in the seating area there is a small water dispenser, we get water from the First Aid station too, they love it when we walk in to get our water, the nurses are all so excited when they see us do that. LOL They absolutely want you to do it so you stay hydrated, they see way too much dehydration in the parks.
