drinking water at meals

I was the OP about the lemons, and I just wanted to clear something up ...

The conclusion of the GMA report was that it was fine to squeeze the lemon into your drink for the flavor, just don't put the lemon wedge in to your glass afterwards for a bit extra flavor ... you'll probably be getting a bit more than you bargined for! The lemon is fine, just not the rind/peel.

Didn't mean to gross anyone out, just wanted to pass it on. I used to always put my lemon in the glass, but not anymore! :goodvibes
I always waver and wonder if i should (bit of a germaphobe, I am). Now I know!

I don't know whether to laugh or puke...two of the restaurants where they wouldn't give us lemon was the Applebee's and TGI Fridays...both in Clifton...makes a lot more sense now!
:lmao:  :scared:

I had water at THAT Applebee's a couple of times in the last 2 months :scared1: I don't remember if there was lemon but I lived to tell about it! Maybe that one is safer than others now!

I am another one who won't pay for water when it is available for free. But if the taste really bothers you, how about using those flavor packets that are made to add to bottled waters? I don't think they are terribly expensive and would be easy to carry with you.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

For me the water is undrinkable. I was so sensative to it that when I used to drink Coke it always tasted bad to me in Disney. I got to the point where I would just order things that came out of a bottle.

Everyone has differences in what they can stand for me that water is beyond what I could tolerate even with a flavor of lemon or something else in it.

We are HUGE water drinkers, so I noticed the "odd" taste immediately, kind of "swampy" tasting, but the lemon helped mask that, beleive me, if it was THAT bad I wouldn't have drank it. And DH and the kids didn't notice the taste at all, so maybe I was just more sensitive to the taste. Some of the restaurants served bottled water, others asked if we wanted bottled or tap water. If you are worried just ask for extra lemon.

With all these posts about water and lemons and whatever, I'm wondering how my mother lived to be 78 when she passed three years ago and how my father will be 79 in September and my father-in-law just turned 78. None of them took/take any extra precautions. I guess there will come a time when no one eats or drinks anything because someone somewhere in the world had some sort of reaction to some little thing on food.

And you know that whole tomato thing might not have even been what they thought it was?

I drink only water...just don't like anything else...and i find the water in Disney to be fine. Wish I could say the same about Rhode Island!~
