so DH just went online to "load" the Disney Visa rewards card...we have $177 more to spend on our May trip.

By my calculations, that's at least 17 frozen adult beverages...or glow-tinis. Or maybe 1/2 dozen wine flights...

Course DH says what's the count as beer-dollars?

at Les Chefs de France. a bottle of Kronigsberg(sp?) was $5.95

at Gr. Floridian Cafe, a bottle of Blue Moon was $5.75

both of those prices were Jan 2009

In September, the organic beer flight at The Wave as $7.25 (that was three 5 oz samples)

and really, if I skip the glowing cocktails I can get more like 21 or 22 adults bevs

I keep reminding my DH of using the card to get his extra "drinking" money. When we went down it was during FW & German had these great mugs (thank goodness they are plastic) and we got Beck's. Can't remember the price on them & I don't think DH wants me to remember...used a lot of disney dollars that day!

it's fun...and actually, the Disney prices are so high it's difficult to really drink to excess without going broke first

DH and I drank our way around the world, and stayed (pretty) sober and didn't break the bank. We did this by splitting drinks in each country. The only place we broke those rules was in Morocco (cheap beer) and Germany (couldn't pass up those outrageous steins!) At $10 a pop, we would have run out of cash in Japan- but our frugal thinking worked well!
