So we have our shirts made and are looking forward to several evenings of adult fun. How far can we expect to get before we catch a good buzz and how far should we go before we stop. Has anyone made it all the way around?party:

not sure anyone can tell you that answer ...

how far can you get before you're buzzed - depends on how much you can drink before you catch that buzz

how far should you go before you stop - depends on how drunk you want to get

Yes, I've made it all the way around ... drinking one beer from each of the main countries and maybe an occasional Jaeger shot in Germany!!

<--- :drinking1 CHAMPION!

My advice is start early! I had a goal of drinking around the world for my birthday last month. I am happy to report I achieved this. However, we only made it to Japan and then had to start sharing drinks! (except Canada and unibraue beers, which we SHOULD have shared). We also sat down on the bench in the English gardens in the UK after the fireworks to finish the last drink while the crowds thinned. I would start immediately at 11 with a Moroccan mimosa ::yes:: I suggest taking your time, drinking water, and watching the bands. I think a little buzz is fine but yeah, no one wants to see a mess at EP! Also, on Friday EP has EMH until 11pm, which makes this much easier.

And little tip, China is where we felt a little buzzed...they don't mess around with those mixed drinks.

Did it last year and had at least one drink in every country, it was awesome. Got tricky after Italy, France had amazing frozen cocktails where we had to have 2 each, and then the Guinness in England was a little heavy, but heck, even stopped for a boozy Dolewhip on the way out of the world showcase :P

Great times, wear sunblock though :)

Well that's an interesting question. Go in Mexico and order a couple of those strong margaritas they sell inside and you'll be buzzed before you go anywhere else. Go to every country and share a Bud Lite and you might not be buzzed by the time you reach Canada.

If it won't be bud lite and you intend to get all the way around I do suggest sharing drinks.

My boyfriend got through 9 of the 11 last year before we had to attend to our dinner reservation. He was pretty toasty by that point! I usually start in Mexico with a margarita and try to make it last a couple countries. I don't try to keep up by any means!

Well im not a huge fan of tequila, so I will probably start there. The problem i see is tearing myself away from Germany.

The answers to this are too specific to the individual and yes, I have made it around.

We usually eat an early lunch somewhere in the World Showcase and start our journey there. It doesn;t matter which way we go, but we prefer to finish on the bridge between UK and France for Illuminations (and because it's in the middle of Rose & Crown and Grey Goose Slushies).

We usually allow for 5 hours, but we have lunch and snack a few other places too. Splitting a drink every other country isn't a bad idea, especially if you're dealing with frozen cocktails.

Don't forget about the "hidden gems" like La Cava in Mexico. Some really good margaritas in there and you can pair them with some good apps.

I ditto the sharing drinks suggestion. That's what my husband and father in law do when we visit every year. My mother in law and I, on the other hand, prefer to just have a few drinks and instead eat our way through the countries!

I've done it twice- start in Mexico at la cava for a margarita- canada has the worst drink options IMO so ending there when you're pretty drunk is the way we like to go.

I like to have a drink myself in each country- wife usually splits with a friend. How quickly you get drunk depends on how quickly you finish your drink.

I love it- it's so much fun- it's even more fun when you run into other people doing it too! It is pretty pricey though!

So basically, if you walk at a normal pace and try to finish your drink before the next country, watch out. Maybe, if you do two trips around the world and skip every other country you would have enough time between drinks and you can work off the booze. Of course your also snacking as you go.

Yes if you try to do it all in two hours you're going to get pretty sloppy- but I wouldn't recommend two trips around the world- that's a lot of walking. Just take your time in each country and walk around, people watch, enjoy your drink. Hang out at la cava and talk with people, check out tutto gusto and spice road table, it's a great way to have a fun, relaxing day at Epcot- and by all means eat too!

We were there a month ago. While I didn't drink in every country, at least one of the adults in my group of 6 got a drink in each country. I loved the Fiesta frozen Margarita in Mexico and my husband got a Vodka Sorbet from France that was amazing.....it was a very very good day. LOL

I did this during our trip in January, but it took me 3 days so I don't know if that still counts!

I was surprised by how quickly I was feeling the drinks and I couldn't get as far as I wanted to each time. Sometimes I was more full than drunk and just couldn't put anything else in my stomach. :lmao:

Most people probably realize this, but I didn't! The World Showcase is not included in EMH. I had 2 countries to go on my last night, and they started shutting up some of the kiosks right at 9. I thought I still had 2 more hours to get everything done. Luckily, some of the places were still serving alcohol, but my choices were severely limited!

ETA: I forgot to mention that one night Norway was completely out of beer!

DH and I spent our honeymoon in the World during food and wine festival. DH planned the whole honeymoon and had a day to drink around the world. Not being a big drinker myself I maybe had three glasses of wine. We sampled some food and, after a quick count, DH got drinks from about 18 of the participating 27 booths, doubling back for an extra shot in Norway. DH is a fairly large guy and a big drinker to boot. He was pretty drunk! We had early dinner ressies at Coral Reef (like 5) and finished the tour with just enough time to get to that ressie. It was relatively warm for October and DH was mostly sober after that walk back to coral reef! We still talk about how fun that trip was :-)

It all depends. I've completed drinking around the world with no problem. I did 21 countries in Food & Wine in a day... (from 11 - 7:30ish)... I do NOT recommend the latter. ..I blame my fiancee for that one.

It's all up to you my friend.

Keep in mind drinking around the world is different during food and wine, and flower and garden for that matter. F&W has many more stands, but most drinks are only tasting sized (same with F&G). General drinking around the world with one stop in each country is going to be full size drinks (with a few exceptions, like the apple vodka in Germany). Very different beasts!
