Drinking Around the World.

we just did this - I put pictures in my trip report http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1405624

We had a black & tan 1 day and a cider the next in the UK (I liked the cider better) - it was the strongbow that they have on draft.

In France we had the Grand Marnier slushie, in Japan we had the plum wine (& the plum!)

the next day we started off with a Viking Coffee in Norway, then had a peach schnapps oolong tea slushie in China - these two drinks were definitely the best ones we had IMO.

after that we sampled two white wines - one in Germany & one in Italy.

we ended with a fiesta margarita in Mexico which was not really good at all IMO

we did not have a drink in Canada, US, or Morocco

I yelled at dh to come see these drinks and I was going to try the Grand Marnier slushie and the Peach Snapps Slushie and Dh said, They may as well call it the lushie :rotfl: I can't wait. Only 8 weeks to go.

what does the China slushie taste like? peach or tea?
and why no drink in Morocco? is there one ppl recommend?

the slushie in china had a very delicate peach tea taste and was not overpowered by the alcohol - it was good, really good IMO.

no (alcoholic) drink in Morocco because I had coffee LOL :coffee:

they did have beers

Where in China and France do you find these slushies? Is it in a restaurant, or just a cart? I haven't seen them before, but I haven't been to the World since last June. :upsidedow

both were at carts right on the road (in front of the entrance to the countries)

The tangerine slushie is tasty but I don't know how much alcohol was in there . . . couldn't realy taste it. You can get it in the back of the Tangerine Cafe.

I haven't tried them yet, but they have some sort of alcoholic slushies at the back of the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco (by the Backlav counter :goodvibes ). My DS had a non-alcoholic one in December, but I do remember that they can come with the alcohol if you want.

Haha...I just did the drink around the world trip in Jan with my guy buddies there! We started in England and made it all the way to Mexico for margaritas.

After Epcot closed we ended up at House of Blues, and then PI for more late night fun!

Just remember.... you can get some sleep in July! Hehe (PI's new marketing motto....which we found to be hilarious at 2am after drinking around the world...especially because we had one buddy who wouldn't leave our home to go out with us that night!).

Yup, I remember they have tangerine slushies(makes sense) that have alcohol . . . although not very much. At least we couldn't really taste it. I think the other option is Pina Colada.

I suppose the ultimate test of courage and tolerance would be do drink seriously around World Showcase and then head over to the original Mission Space for a ride. Or perhaps that is not wise...

I drank seriously around World Showcase and ended with a ride on Spaceship Earth (but no not Space! lol)

There is a mini-brewery on the Boardwalk that sells a sampler of their beer. Ok for one time, but I'll take good old Bud Light. As I remember, 6 or 8 small glasses for less than $10.00

Is Drinking Around The World ever followed by Vomiting Around The World?

:sad2: Unfortunately YES! I drank around the world when I was 21 with some friends. We left out Canada and England b/c we came in from BCV and just made a right into France. We each drank a drink at every country. Some of my favorites are:

Italy - limcello or rosa regale
China - plum wine
Mexico - fiesta margarita
Norway I had some type of wine just like I did in France and Morocco. I will say if its hot out avoid the sake from Japan...not agood combo.

When needless to say after all this and then going to Test Track was not he wisest of decisions....there was some booting going on. And then refilling the tummy with Mexican food.
