So we are T-minus 10 days and counting until our December trip for Disney and I am DETERMINED to get this Mickey Head Lamp Posts done this year!! So my DH and I got both little DD to bed and we are hanging out in the garage trying to figure this thing out!! :confused3

So just wondering if anyone else has projects you are trying to do for your next Disney Fort adventure??? :woohoo:

Well, a couple of days prior to our trip in late June/early July, I injured my leg, had to stay home from work and was put on some, um, interesting pain-killers. :cloud9:

I didn't attempt the lamppost, but I made a few sets of green mickeys and a couple of the lighted wreath mickey heads. The wife found it hysterical when she got home from work.

Just started gathering all of the materials as well for our February Trip to the Fort! I am going to work on the lamp post with my father during the christmas break and we are going to attempt to also make a hanging Mickey Head to hang from the awning as well..... Tis the season to by jolly..........Also, walgreens had a really cool Red and Green Tinsel Garland looking Mickey Head, might pick that up as well and wrap lights around that under $7.00.

OK - The Lime Flamingo's are too funny......My DH has got his thinking face on. never good!!

Those lighted Mickey head wreath's are really cool - thanks for the Walgreen's tip!!:thumbsup2

I cant image how long it takes some of our Camping friends who have a lot of REALLY BIG decorations at their site to get ready for their trip. We will be so exhausted from getting our handful of decorations ready that we will need a vacation from our vacation!!

just a hint to good ole' DH here...if you are going to prime the plastic flamingos....the primer sucks up the paint....two coats of paint means two nights of painting in the dark...

and i cheaped out and bought the walgreens out of the wreaths...the heck with that crap...the flamingos are enough

Just finished a lighted Mickey Wreath. I used Michaels 18 and 12 inch wreath frames and a Target 18 foot red rope light which just barely went around the face and both ears twice. Still have to trim the wire ties, but it looks pretty good, I think.

Burrrrpppppppp.

So are up late, it's now 5:34 am, up for about 1.5 hours pondering the design of a super tarp (supported by 8' PVC pipes) to cover my upgraded accommodations of tent & cot. I am moving out of the RV into a tent so grandama has a bed.
At the same time, I have measured the Sherpa 15 luggage roof bag, trying to figure out how I am going to get all the stuff down.

T-Minus 20 days and counting. The RV is in the driveway from deer hunting, clean, but not packed or ready to go.

Does anybody have the long range weather forecast for the later half of DEC?
