The last time we cruised, the only available drinks on deck 9 were tea, coffee and water if I remember correctly. I thought I saw a thread where soda was now being offered. Can someone confirm what drinks are available at the drink station. Thanks so much.

Yep.....soda is now there also! :teeth: We just used it a few weeks ago! ;)

Have a great cruise!

Also lemonade, hot chocolate, milk and half and half.

FYI, the soda is Coke (and Coke products!) Also, free soda station on CC near Cookies BBQ. Great idea, DCL!:teeth:

As of the 9/27 sailing of the Magic:

Coke
Diet Coke
Sprite
Diet Sprite
Hi C Pink Lemonade
Hi C Orangeade
tea
coffee
milk
hot chocolate
water

There are plenty of ice stations and about 3 fountain sections that serve all the soft drinks. We found it to be very convenient and never a line.

Does this drink station provide cups for the drinks? Or is this where I have to buy the $20 mug to get drinks?
I realize that we can get free sodas with the lunch and dinner in the dining areas. However, I have read that the sodas are not free at snack bar areas. So I can go to this drink station to get the soda? I just don't understand why anyone needs to buy the $20 mug.
Please explain this to me. I am worried that we will run up a bill because my daughters will want their Sprite!

the drinks on Deck 9 are free. there are no more mugs. the onoly time you pay for soda is at the bar and for room service.

Are there cup carriers up there-- like the ones fast food restaurants give you to carry 4 drinks at once. If I want to get coffee for dh and I in mornings to have in room and hot choc for 2 boys, can I carry it or should I just order room service?
(FYI: I am the kind who would rather do-it-myself.)

Never saw any cup carriers....sorry.

There are cups, lids, straws, napkins, sugar, creamer, ect. at the drink station.

You may want to order room service - or you may want to pack something to help haul. I think a lot of people bring an extra large mug (you could bring two, one for cocoa and one for coffee) or other container to be able to get some beverages in quantity.

For us, the beverage station was so convieient - our room was deck six off the aft stairs so it was three quick flights up to grab something. Room service was somewhat more of a pain (believe it or not) than just grabbing it.

thanks so much. I knew I would find the answer here!!!!

saw the Q about carriers--good Q, handy items, but I can understand why DCL doesn't make it their business to stock them. just stop off at the golden arches or any place else like that and grab an extra tray there...

I know at hotels, we use the tray that is under the ice bucket to carry our coffe and soda back to our room when we go down to get it from the resturant. Is there a tray under the ice bucket in DCL's rooms?

I just looked at pictures we took inside our cabin and I don't see a tray under the ice bucket. I don't remember there being one, either. If you ask your cabin steward, he may be able to get a small tray for you, or else just bring a tray back from the buffet and keep in the cabin during the week to bring coffee and soda back from the beverage station.

FYI-DCL still sells the refillable mugs-at least they did on the 8/26 Wonder. I asked why, since soda is free at the drink station. The CM told me the reason is that there is a charge for sodas from the bars, so you can use the refillable mugs there.

Dreamer--I saw the mugs for sale on our 9/11 Magic cruise, as well. I'm sure there were some disgruntled parents who discovered the free soda station only AFTER purchasing the mugs.

That bothered me-they were selling the mugs right next to the drink station on ebarkation day. There was a line of people ready to buy. This seemed a little underhanded to me, unless the CMs inform the guests of the free drink station

Is the water at these THREE drink stations free too? Is the water good or would it be better to bring bottled?

Where exactly is the drink station located at? Is it close to Topsiders/Beach Blanket?

Thanks!
