Hey, I've got a question. I was wondering if anyone has been to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in CityWalk. What did you think? I would probably not eat there, but what about the atmosphere, etc? Shopping?!?!?! I'm interested in your opinions...after all, I want to know that if I happen to have a bad time, it'll be my own d*** fault! (Parrotthead referance)

Anyway, thanks. I'm going off to drift away again in Margaritaville (and look for that lost shaker of salt)!

Its a fan favorite around here.

Food is great. If you don't want to eat there, you can still sit at the bar and watch the volcano. At 8pm the place gets packed. Stilt walkers go thru the crowd making balloon hats for kids. Music videos play on over head TV screens. The volcano goes off with everyone cheering, then Margaritaville plays and everyone sings along. It's a giant party.

I agree with robvia. Good food, not too expensive. We were there at lunchtime and there was no wait. We didn't see the volcano erupt, even though we sat and waited for a while just to see it erupt.

We had lunch there one afternoon and we saw the volcano erupt and they had the video's running. As far as shopping goes they have pretty much a regular Margaritaville store like the one in Charleston and other places.

We enjoyed it but we have one kid who's very sensitive to loud noises. It's very noisy. The last time we ate out on the back deck and it was a much pleasurable experience.

:thumbsup2 It's a must do for us every trip. Volcano Nachos....mmmmmmmmm
