Day 2 "Oops"
Welcome back readers, I am back with the second Installment.
Wednesday, August 11th
My friend woke me up at about 11am, I was tired, due to the fact I was up pretty much 39 hours straight. We showered and headed to IOA...
We walked right past the USF entrance, and I assured Imhotep i'd be back to pay him a visit later, as well as MIB.
We went through the gates at IOA, and saw the "Adventure Begins" sign. Every year, I see myself in awe when I enter POE for the first time. The detail is just so incredible, its amazing. We made our way to Spiderman.
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man - 9.5/10
Great ride, Great, Great ride. It amazes me how this ride always seems to be working well, and the way they Incorporate everything. The line was about 60 min, we walked on with the Ol' Express. Definetley the best ride in IOA.
Hulk was next
The Incredible Hulk Coaster- 5.5/10
I, DrewAlmighty then went over to the Hulk, only due to the soul purpose my friend wanted to ride. I dont know why, but I really dont like the Hulk. It could be the fact of how I waited Years to ride it, and it was a major letdown to me. After the Vertical loop over the water the ride was just over. Im not trying to start any fights over the way I feel, but its my 2 cents, and we all are entitled to opinions.
We got Drinks, and made our way to Dr. Doom
Dr. Dooms Fear Fall- 7/10
Good ride, too short tho, but it is an S&S Tower.. So you cant really expect much of a long ride from these, but the view is incredible.
We made our way into Toon Lagoon, and it was Hot. So we decided to do the Water rides.
Popeye & Blutos Bilge Rat Barges- 8/10
Yet another Universal Masterpiece. I may not of given it a extremley high rating.. but IMO, its what it deserves. The theming is great, and we got absoultley soaked. Very fun, One of our fav rides.
Next we said while we are wet, we might as well do all the other water rides. Next was Dudley
Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls- 9/10
A great ride. Better than Splash Mountain at WDW IMO. I love the way the drops are, and they way the whole mountain looks in general. Also themed amazingly, from the crazy colors, to animatronics, etc. Best Water Ride in Universal.
So we walked through the gates in JP, and headed towards the River Adventure...
Jurassic Park River Adventure- 8/10
I remember this being alittle better. And the Hardorsaur (sp?) that knocks you off course seems to be awfully far away. Other than that, most of the Dinos move smootly but I have one complaint. I get more wet from the spitters in the building than the Actual drop. But anways, Its still an awesome ride, yet another one Universal put alot of Time and effort into.
We headed back to HRH to Swim for a while and made our way to USF to Hit up MIB and Mummy.
So we entered the park and went to MIB. I was feeling loosened up, and with a last minute look at a MIB guide, we were off and I had the good feeling I was doing it now. 999,999 lets do this.
After about 3 rides, I had 562,000 going into the Scanner. I was in good shape. I got the drop down bugs a bunch of times, and Shot the Fusion Exhaust on the other side about 5 times before everything stop registering. I was wondering what was going on.. I looked down and saw 999,999. I was so excited, and in a way proud, I dont know why lol. I then proceeded to do it a few more times before we left.
So we head over to the Mummy. My friend was holding my Cell phone and I used it for a sec, and put it in my pocket. We flashed the express and made our way into Imhoteps lair. We board and were off. Its about 8:55 at this point, the park is closing in 5 minutes. So We enjoyed the ride, and we were looking at my On-Ride Pic, and I went to call my mom to tell her we would meet her at NBA City in 5 minutes....
I was reaching around in my pockets and nothing.. "What the Hell?" My friend searched his too.. nothing. Then I realized, the Curse is real! Imhotep stole my cell phone! We went to one of the "Production Assistants" in the front, he was really cool and brought us back in through the employee stairs by the Express Scanner.. There was no Cell Phone sighting.. He said check the Studio Audience Center tommorow morning.. So we left to NBA City.
We met my Mom and I said "Do you want the Good News or the Bad News?" Told her, and suprisingly she wasnt bad. I thought it would be Revenge of the Other Mummy. So we ate, and played some games in the NBA City Shooting Range and stuff.. and went to Sleep..
